Valentines day!

It was tradition with Ben from early in his life to make homemade personalized photo valentines to hand out in his class.  It was personally a favorite of mine and something I really enjoyed.   And it was the one time of years that Ben would cooperate and take a decent smiling picture (*sigh,   photographers kid) with out moaning and growning.  Lol. 

   We made these special valentines for years till sadly he grew out of it and asked to stop one year.    I graciously understood him wanting to stop and let it go....

 Till this year!  

  You guys!   I have a little girl that I get to do it all over with again!    I was so excited and Brooklynn loved it!    She rocked her photo and proudly handed them out to her class mates,  teachers and principle.   


 
And Ben wasn't a total dud,  he handed out some suckers and pencils to his class mates!

First win of the season!

 About a month ago,  Ben made the freshman team at his new high-school,   he LOVES basketball and was so excited to join.     So far the season has been rough with losses every game,   till last night!   They finally had a win!!        Hopefully this gives the boys a boost of confidence and turns their year around!     Go Jets!!    And pa got a pretty awesome photo of Bens layup during the game!    As my friend Emily would say "it's totally rad!"

First gymnastics class ever!

 Brooklynn has been asking for YEARS to take gymnastics classes,   she loves doing flips,  cartwheels,  backbends and is actually really good at it all.  On her own she has amazing talent and friends and strangers alike are always shocked when they find out that she is self taught so far and has had zero classes.    She works Dailey on all the things gymnastics and never seems to tire of it.   *She might even be the reason that cartwheels are no longer allowed at school (hallways, classrooms, gym)  lolol   So, This years the only thing she asked for christmas was ....you guessed it,   gymnastics lessons.    And she was serious too.  She told everyone she talked to "for Christmas I want gymnastics!!!"   So grandparents and parents together made it happen.        We found her private classes and her first lesson was last night.   I've never seen her so exited and nervous...

 8 years of loving you,      I truly cannot imagine a life without you in it and thank God for letting ME be your momma.    You are such a blessing little girl.   Your smiles,  your kindness,  you constant cheerful happiness.   Its all a delight.    There really are no words to truly describe how much I love you.     I hope you enjoyed your birthday mommy daughter day out.    A hair cut,  mommy and me pedicures, (and you got a bonus manicure!)   and your favorite Starbucks drink!
