Our Faith, Our Family, & Our Friendships.

   We are so proud!   Ben practiced and practiced,  sometimes till his arm hurt!     He went to practice with his team every day,  and then several nights, he came home and practiced more on his own!     And it paid off,   He increased his throw by 3-5 feet between regionals and states!  At Regionals, he was barely throwing 25 feet,  and by the time states came around, he was throwing 27-30 feet consistently!       And this Young man, took 3rd place,  Missing 2nd place by only 6 inches!        He was so proud of himself as we are of him!      He's already talking of next year!   

Ben was on the fence about giving it a try,  But boy is he thrilled he did!   After injuries on the field,   Having to take time off,  Trips to Dr's,  Hospitals,  and x-rays  and finally being given the green light to enjoy the season,  Ben became a pro!    No Joke.   Its amazing the skill he has on the soccer field.   He blew so many of us away,  from going to having never played,  to being promoted to center mid field along with some of the best players,   He completely rocked it and even scored a goal!     He was all over the field,  from one end to the other and never seemed to wear out,   and was clearly one of the fastest runners out there!    ADHD for the win this time,  His crazy energy totally came in handy!!  haha!   Some of us even joke with his team mates that Ben didn't have a "position" and was just every where the whole time,  they laughed and said ...

The boys are loving it!   Tired and sore,  but getting energy out and feeling back to normal!   

   A tradition for years!     A local high school football team hosts a 3 day camp for kids grades 1st-8th grade,   Ben has gone for years and Loves it!     They rough and tumble and have a great time together.   Well over a hundred boys showed up this year!   It was so good to see a sense of normalcy,  no one was afraid,  no masks,  and no 6 feet,    Just boys being together and having fun!     My heart was happy,  and I  smiled big as I dropped him off.    Ben was in his element,   playing sports,  being with friends,  and throwing balls around!    

   So I'm not sure if I shared yet,   but Ben decided to give track a try this year,  He is normally a year-round wrestler,  but due to the requirements to wrestle currently we decided to pass for a bit and try some new stuff.    At first Ben was a bit iffy on track.    but now that he's been faithfully going to practices and then this week went to his first track meet,  he has discovered he LOVES track.     And he's really good at it!!    Ben has always been very athletic and a good runner,   but has never competed.     It was pouring rain and really cold,  but Ben did Great!!   He put 100% in and did all 4 of his allowed competitions!    Yesterday the results came in and Ben took 1st in one,  and 2nd in the other 3 competitions!   He was so excited and Matt and I are really proud!     100 yard run Long jump Long jump (it was best out of 3 tries) shotput 400 yard...
