Family time.

And we took daisy on her first walk around the local park/pond!   She was a pro!   She lead the way and stayed on the path and walked us all around like she's done it all her life!     It was fun to be able to do this with all of us!

Fresh and clean

Our puppy Daisy had a big week!     At almost 4 months it was time for her first dog grooming appointment!       We weren't ready for a full cut yet as we love her fluffy self,   but we had then trim up her eyes,  clip her toes,    give her a bath and Brooklynn even requested they paint her toes!

She came home smelling sooo good and was so clean!  Haha.  We loved it!     And her nails are pink and they put a little bow in her hair!!

Mommy and Brooklynn time

While daddy and Ben went hunting,  Brooklynn and I decided to have special time together too!

We did some of her favorite things!      First stop we went to the park,   and played with all the kids running around.   She made "friends" and had a great time!

When she was hot and sweaty we of course made our next stop ice cream at the local shop!

After ice cream we went home ,  showered,  and cuddle on the couch in our jammies and watched a movie.     It was good to have a time with her that was designated for just fun.   So often life is a hustle and a bustle with no down time,  always on the run for school,  sports, or other life events or just simple trying to catch up on responsibilities at home that we loose that one on one connection. , so to just stop and enjoy time with my little girl so special.     ♡

4 loaves of Bread.

Recently Matts dad came to visit and brought along with him a couple fresh loaves of homemade bread,  It was sooo good,   fluffy and we ate it within a day!  lol.

It had been on my mind lately that I needed to start making our bread homemade,     For health,  cost,  and  just simple because I want to make more and more of my families foods by hand.

So after inhaling the bread from the father in law,  I asked him if he would please send me his recipe,  I was ready to give it a try!
He graciously shared his recipe and within the hour of receiving it,  I went to work.    I mixed,  kneaded, rose,  and baked 4 loaves of bread!

Did it turn out great?   NOPE!   lol.   It was dense ,   not nearly light and fluffy like the FIL's.    but I am not discouraged,   Im gonna keep trying!

Rainbows in the sky.

Its always favorite sight.      I am reminded of Gods promises and how he always KEEPS them. No matter what,   The promises in the Bible,   Are very much mine today.   And I can count on them.     God cannot lie,  and God will NEVER leave me or forsake me.

Such a precious promise.    One that brings me great comfort.    How Love him!

So when we were driving through town the other day and I saw a glimpse of the rainbow,    I asked Matt to please turn around and get us closer to it.     I wanted to show my kids,  but especially Brooklynn,  Im pretty sure its one of the first Ive been able to share with her!     Matt turned right around and upon seeing the rainbows bright glow and the vibrant colors,   He actually got the kids out and gave them a better look when we were able to park close by.    We just stood and stared at Gods beauty for a minute.

Field day successful!

11:30am-5pm!    5 hours of on field training now finished and all tests passed!    He is now a legal,  fully trained hunter and we couldn't be more proud!
He put the work in and reaped the rewards,   he got his official hunting license/certificate on spot and is ready to hit the woods!

Thank you so much Pa for stepping up and doing the whole class with Ben since Matt had to work.  You helped make this a possibility and a great experience for Ben.   We thank you!

He sent me to tractor supply again.....

Aren't they cute tho???   11 chocolate baby ducks!

A Sunday drive!

As a family we decided to take a little trip out to deer hunting land (Chelsea,Mi) and go scouting for the upcoming season.   We stopped at a little ice cream shop and had ourselves a treat!    Even daisy got a "puppy bowl" complete with a doggie bone on top!  She loved it!
It was good family time and very needed.  Sometimes you just got to get away from it all and get out in nature.  Walking/driving the woods and enjoying the scenery even if just for a few hours.

Hunter saftly course

This year Ben has to do his online and in person hunting safety course,     it's been challenging as it requires extra focus and actually sitting there learning.    Outside of the class room at school Ben is not at all interested in any book work,  but he did it!   He completely the whole online part ,  and it took daysssssssss

1st day of second grade!

She's excited, nervous , and feeling all the emotions,  but is braving it like a champ!       And daddy got to take a picture with her!...
